As the Head of New Partnerships at Modis Dental Partners, it’s always exciting to introduce a new partner who shares our commitment to patient care, innovation, and long-term growth. We’re thrilled to welcome Dental Health Group to the Modis family, and we couldn’t be more excited about the future we’re building together.
About Dental Health Group
Dental Health Group has a rich history of providing top-tier care, led by the dedicated Dr. Elaine Allen. Dr. Allen’s journey into dentistry is unique and inspiring. She started her career in dental assisting and hygiene, and after years of working with Dr. Yant and Dr. Longest, Dr. Yant recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue dental school. Following his advice, Dr. Allen went on to earn her DMD and practiced independently for several years before rejoining Dental Health Group in 2010.
Dr. Yant, a true believer in continuing education, has attended the Pikos Institute four times, reflecting his deep commitment to staying ahead in the world of implantology. His belief in continuous improvement is shared by the entire team at Dental Health Group, where patient care is always the top priority. In fact, many of their patients drive over 45 minutes just to receive care at their practice, a testament to the high level of trust and respect they’ve built in their community.
Dental Health Group has grown into a practice that offers much more than general dentistry. Dr. Yant and his team have honed their skills in advanced implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics, including Dr. Yant’s completion of a surgical implant externship with the Midwest Implant Institute and West Virginia University. This evolution is something we admire, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth in these areas.
One of the standout features of Dental Health Group is the unwavering dedication to its team. With an average employee tenure of over 15 years, they embody Modis' core pillar of Family and Culture, fostering an environment where both staff and patients thrive.
Exciting Opportunities for Growth
As we look to the future, there’s tremendous potential to help Dental Health Group expand their capabilities. A major focus for Dr. Yant and the team is growing their implant practice, especially full-arch cases. In 2023, Dr. Yant completed 12 full-arch cases, and in 2024, he’s already up to 20. With Modis’ support, we’re excited to help him surpass 30 full-arch cases in the near future.
To support this growth, we’re also exploring the possibility of introducing Chrome Guided Surgeries to their practice. Dr. Yant has experience with this technology, though he has been hesitant about the prosthetics in the past. With the expertise of Dr. Olson, we’re confident we can help make this a more seamless and effective process for Dental Health Group.
Looking ahead, recruiting new talent is crucial for continued success. Dr. Longest, a valued member of the team, is expected to retire in the next 3-5 years, and finding the right replacement will be a top priority. Although the practice is located in the more rural area of Deep Creek, Maryland, it’s a community that values quality care, and we’re committed to helping Dental Health Group find a candidate who fits with their culture and dedication to excellence.
Expansion is also on the horizon, albeit in the longer term. Dr. Yant owns the real estate for their Oakland location, and it sits on a large plot of land, offering the possibility for future growth. In three years, when the lease term for their Accident location is up, there may be an opportunity to expand into a larger space, potentially even supporting a second full-time doctor.
