About Dr. Richard Boatman
Dr. Richard R. Boatman Jr. founded his dental practice in Troy, Illinois, in 1989 and has been recognized as a top dentist by St. Louis Magazine for nine consecutive years. He specializes in extractions, root canals, children’s dentistry, bone grafting, and implants, and is an Invisalign preferred provider certified in both IV and oral sedation. Dr. Boatman graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and attended Southern Illinois University – School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1987. He served as a General Practice Resident in Dentistry at St. Mary’s Hospital in East St. Louis for one year, receiving a Post-Doctoral Certificate. Dr. Boatman opened his solo dental practice in Troy, Illinois, on January 10, 1989.
